Biography
SJ earned her Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where she received Certificates of Concentration in Business Law and Tax Law. During law school, she served as President of the Student Bar Association in her final year and as President of the Craft Beer Law Society for two consecutive years. In recognition of her outstanding service to the McGeorge community, she received the Outstanding Student Service Award at commencement.
SJ earned her Bachelor of Arts in Humanities and Communication, with a concentration in Legal Studies, from Cal State Monterey Bay in 2021.
SJ comes to us from a well-respected Sacramento law firm, where she began her legal career as a law clerk and was later promoted to associate attorney after passing the Bar Exam in November 2025. Her practice included property, personal injury, and public entity defense matters. Early in her career, Ms. Hammon participated in a month-long jury trial through verdict. In addition, she served as a Student Attorney with McGeorge’s Elder & Health Law Clinic, representing and counseling clients in estate planning, civil litigation, and elder abuse matters.
Raised in California’s Mother Lode, Ms. Hammon enjoys spending time staying active or finding Sacramento’s best sour beer at local craft breweries.
