Biography
George “Ernie” Washington was born and raised in Butte County, California. He attended Chico public schools and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Berkeley. He is a graduate of Hastings College of Law in San Francisco and was admitted to the California State Bar in 1970.
Ernie Washington’s professional background includes practice with insurance defense firms in the San Francisco Bay Area; serving as a Butte County Deputy District Attorney for three years; and as a contract public defender in Butte County. He has extensive criminal and civil jury trial experience, having tried several significant civil cases to jury verdict, including complex medical malpractice cases.
Ernie Washington is a member of ABOTA, Sacramento Valley Chapter and the Association of Defense Counsel (ADC).
