Attorney Bios > Benjamin Ikuta Benjamin Ikuta received a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings, where he was Symposium Editor of the Hastings Law Journal. Mr. Ikuta authored “Why Binomial Distributions Do Not Work as Proof of Employment Discrimination,” which was published in the Hastings Law Journal, and “Genetically Modified Plants, Patents, and Terminator Technology: Th Prior to joining Low McKinley Baleria & Salenko, Mr. Ikuta specialized in employment law, including defending employers against claims regarding contract disputes, wrongful termination, discrimination and harassment. During this time, Mr. Ikuta authored “California Layoff Basics – Two Perspectives,” which was published by the State Bar of California in the California Labor & Employment Law Review, and “Identifying, Avoiding and Remedying Employee Theft,” which was published in Lawdragon. Mr. Ikuta concentrates his practice in medical-related defense, including medical malpractice, nursing malpractice, elder abuse, products liability and California Medical Board proceedings. Mr. Ikuta has also provided counseling to physicians and hospitals regarding employment contracts and partnership agreements. Mr. Ikuta is a member of the Sacramento County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Asian/Pacific Bar Association of Sacramento, and the Japanese American Bar Association.
